An agonising death for a service engineer!
A pest control technician destroyed beyond recognition!
A priest brutally crucified!
The disappearance of a clairvoyant!
All have a terrifying link. But what is it?

Salem, Massachussettes, 1691, the height of the infamous witch trials. The clergymen terrorising the community accuse, convict and then hang the wrong woman. A month later they compound the error further when they sentence her husband to death. Over three hundred years later in a small Yorkshire village in rural England, the wrong man is paying the price.
Martin and Sue Hawthorne are settling into a sedate village life in a farmhouse left to them by an eccentric aunt. With a small lottery win they renovate the house and set up a small business.
The visit of a mysterious stranger to Sue’s antique shop is the start of a terrifying ordeal for the Hawthorne’s when he leaves them an unwanted gift: a communion cup, wrapped in a cloth and housed in a crate bearing strange symbols.
The problems that follow are beyond all human reasoning. Martin suffers a series of nightmares, which foretell horrifying, brutal deaths. The common link for the deaths - however ridiculous it sounds – seems like the communion cup.
But the Hawthorne’s have to travel to Salem before they learn whole story of the tainted cup and how it came to be that way. However, the truth and their involvement is the last thing they are prepared for.
On their return to England the scene is set for a titanic battle of good against evil, fought out in terrifying conditions within the old farmhouse.
Everything they have come to depend on - including each other - will be tested to the limit as the body count continues to rise ... with little in the way of adversaries to stop it - either in our world ... or any other!
